On Saturday, we discussed why we are told that Joseph’s brothers were not able to talk to him until he was weeping. Was it that they were ashamed before then? Frightened? Was it that they did not want to interrupt him? And why was he crying? From joy? Because he had foreseen the enslavement of their descendants (as some commentators have posited)? What do you think?
