On Saturday, we discussed the reason why the daughters of Tz’lof’chad ask to receive his inheritance in front of Moses, Eliezer, the chieftains and the whole community. Was it that they didn’t trust Moses to say the same thing in public and in private? Is it that they felt Moses would be biased? Is it that they felt their case was too important to be decided behind closed doors, even with a subgroup of leaders? And why did they present their case as a group, rather than individually?
