Shabbat Shalom! Parashat Vayikra

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Vayikra, Leviticus 1:1-5:26 – Welcome to the Book of Leviticus! I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week! On Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday morning service at 10:00 a.m. I hope you will also join us for our Shabbat Mincha Service tomorrow, Saturday, March 21, at 5:00 p.m. as we celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Evan Narod (via livestream only on our YouTube channel).

Torah Question of the Week:

When you bring a gift to someone or host them in your home for a holiday celebration, how do you make it special? In this week’s portion, the Israelites are commanded to bring offerings to God – unblemished animals, unleavened bread made of their fine choice flour, oil and frankincense, their first fruits. They have specific instructions of what to bring and how to prepare their offerings to be pleasing to God. What do you do to ensure that the gifts you give others will be received the way you want them to be received? How do you ensure that what you are giving is what someone desires?
