Shabbat Shalom! Parashat Vayigash

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Vayigash, Genesis 44:18-47:27. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday, December 26, at 7:30 p.m.

Please note that because of the forecast of snow and freezing rain, we have moved our services to Zoom. Please check your email for the Zoom link.

Torah Question of the Week:

Have you ever wanted something to be true so much that you could not believe it when it was? Does it matter who is telling you? In this week’s Torah portion, Joseph’s brothers return to their father Jacob to give him the news that Joseph is still alive. At first, he does not believe them, but then he sees what they have brought and he hastens to Egypt in order to see Joseph again. When you are told something is true that you did not expect to be true, do you need proof, or can you take that person’s statement at face value? If you need proof, what proof would convince you?
