Shabbat Shalom! Parashat Tzav

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Tzav, Leviticus 6:1-8:36. It is also Shabbat HaGadol – the “Great Shabbat” which is always the Shabbat before the start of Passover. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Torah Question of the Week:

Do you sometimes resist doing the daily clean up that life requires? What makes you resist doing it? In this week’s Torah portion, we are told that each day, one of the priests must take off his priestly vestments and put on other clothing and carry the ashes left from the sacrifices out to a specific place. What clean up task have you put off that you can do in your home?  How can you embrace the menial tasks of life and not feel that they are unimportant or beneath you?

Passover Starts tomorrow night!

As you know, I love Pesach! Thank you to the many congregants who gave me the honor of acting as their agent for selling their chametz. I hope you all enjoy your first Seders tomorrow night and I look forward to seeing many of you, either in person or on Zoom for our 2nd night Seder on Sunday night.

I hope to see you at services tonight! Shabbat Shalom and Chag Pesach Sameach v’Kasher!
