Shabbat Shalom! Parashat Ki Teitzei

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Ki Teitzei, Deuteronomy 21:10–25:19. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Torah Question of the Week:

Have you ever seen an item on the ground that someone had dropped? Did you try to return it? Take it? Leave it? How did you decide what to do? In this week’s Torah portion, we are told that we must not ignore livestock that have gone astray or things that have been lost. Instead, we must return them. If we don’t know whose they are, we must bring them home and care for them until they are claimed. Have you ever had to care for something you found until it is claimed by its original owner? How did you do that?
