Shabbat Shalom! Parashat Ki Tavo

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Ki Tavo, Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday, August 28, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, August 29, when we will celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Elijah Herman. Since Elijah’s Bar Mitzvah is off-site, it will be available by livestream only on the Bnai Shalom YouTube channel at

Torah Question of the Week:

When you receive something wonderful, how and with whom do you share it? In this week’s Torah portion the Israelites are told that when they enter the land of Israel, they must take some of the first fruits they harvest and bring it to the priests at the Temple, as their expression of gratitude to God for bringing them to that place. How do you express gratitude for the things you receive?
