Shabbat Shalom! Parashat Eikev

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Eikev, Deuteronomy 7:12–11:25. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday, August 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Torah Question of the Week:

Have you ever won a game, not because you played well, but because the other team played poorly? Or have you achieved something instead of another person, not because you gave your best, but because they didn’t even try or worse, tried to sabotage it? In this week’s Torah portion, Moses reminds the Israelites that they are not being given the land of Israel because of their virtues, but because of the wickedness of the people already living there. How do you feel when you succeed because of another’s failure and not because of your own merits?
