Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is B’shalach (Shabbat Shira), Exodus 13:17-17:16. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday, January 30, at 7:30 p.m.

Torah Question of the Week:

Are you a map person or a “figure-it-out” person? How comfortable are you with not knowing exactly where you are going and how you will get there? In this week’s portion, God decides to send the Israelites toward the promised land in a roundabout way… and does not tell them where they are going. Instead they have to trust Moses and God. Are you able to trust someone who does not give you directions in advance? If you are given directions that seem to be bad, even if they turn out okay, do you have trouble trusting the directions from that person the next time?
