Shabbat Shalom! Parashat B’ha’alot’cha

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is B’ha’alot’cha, Numbers 8:1–12:16. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week. On Friday night we will have a special presentation on antisemitism by Abbey Krain, senior associate regional director at ADL Philadelphia. Dinner is at 6:00 p.m., our Shabbat Services are at 7:15 p.m., and the Presentation is at 8:00 p.m. RSVP required by calling the Bnai Shalom office. We are grateful to Dr. Stanley and Judy Walker for generously sponsoring this evening, as well as underwriting our membership in ADL’s Kulanu program. Saturday morning services will be at their usual 10:00 a.m.

Torah Question of the Week:

How do you know it is time to move on from something? A place? A job? A relationship? In this week’s Torah portion, the Israelites begin following the sign of God’s presence, a cloud that appears over the Ark of the Covenant. They break camp when the cloud lifts and they travel until the cloud settles again. What signs do you use to know when to begin and stop traveling on the journeys in your life?
