Shabbat Shalom! L’Shanah Tovah! Welcome to Rosh Hashanah, the Birthday of the World! We have a full schedule of services here at Bnai Shalom and I hope you can make them, either in person or online! You can see our Rosh Hashanah email with all the information here.

A Question for Rosh Hashanah: Do You 10Q?

How do you contemplate your past actions and future directions over the Yamim Nora’im, the Days of Awe? A great (free!) resource is https://www.doyou10q.com/, which will give you a private and personal space to record your reflections on the past year and your hopes for next year. Each day from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur, you will be sent a question to answer. Three days after Yom Kippur, your answers will be sent to a locked online vault and next year they will be sent back to you shortly before Rosh Hashanah. It is like having your own personal time capsule and I highly recommend it!

A Recommendation: A New Resource for the Holidays

Do you find yourself lost in the services on High Holy Days? Have you ever wished for a map to connect you to the emotional and spiritual themes of the machzor (prayerbook)? A colleague of mine has put together a great resource you may use during the service alongside your machzor: Your High Holy Days Companion: Finding Your Place in the Journey. You can purchase it at: https://www.amazon.com/Your-High-Holy-Days-Companion/dp/B0H964LKLG

I hope to see you at services! Shabbat Shalom and L’Shanah Tovah! May you be inscribed in the Book of Life for a sweet new year!
