Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Ki Tavo, Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. This is a special Shabbat on which we will formally welcome Jonada Evans as a member of the Jewish community. All are welcome to share in our joy!
Torah Question of the Week:
Do you respond better to the carrot or the stick? What makes the difference for you? In this week’s Torah portion, Moses tells the Israelites the many curses that will befall them if they do not observe God’s commandments. They are also told the blessings that will come to them if they obey. Does the threat of specific punishments influence you more than promises of rewards? How specific do they have to be?

I hope to see you at services! Shabbat Shalom!
