On Saturday, we discussed the reason why Moses decided to expound the Torah (basically, to repeat everything) in the Book of Deuteronomy. Was it because this generation hadn’t been physically present at Sinai? Was it to make sure that those entering the Land of Israel had heard the laws directly from him? Was it to ensure that any questions were answered? Or was it simply because this Book had a different author (according to modern scholars)?? What do you think? Here is a link to the source sheet.
