Shabbat Shalom! Parashat Sh’lach L’cha

Shabbat Shalom! This week’s Torah Portion is Sh’lach L’cha, Numbers 13:1–15:41. I hope you will join us for Shabbat Services this week: Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday morning service at 10:00 a.m.

Torah Question of the Week:

Have you ever been told something was too hard for you to do? Did you believe it? Did hearing it was hard stop you from even trying? In this week’s Torah portion, ten of the twelve scouts who went to the land of Israel came back and said it would be too hard for the Israelites to conquer. The Israelites heard this and didn’t want to try; they even wanted to go back to being slaves in Egypt! What is the cost when you don’t try something you perceive is too hard to do? When have you tried anyway—and what was the reward when you did?
