Torah Question of the Week:

Have you ever done something that you regret and wanted to make an offering of peace to the person you wronged? How do you do this in a way such that the gift is received? In this Torah portion Jacob sends messengers of peace with gifts to his brother Esau in an effort to begin a reconciliation. Have you found that sending an “I’m sorry” gift or message in advance has the result of softening someone’s response to your overture?
