On Saturday, we discussed Moses and Aaron falling on their faces and exhorting God as the source of all spirit – “When one member sins, will You be wrathful with the whole community?” We considered whether God knows who has sinned and who has not and what God can and should do with that knowledge. Does it make God less likely to want to punish everyone? We discussed falling on our faces in prayer, and how this can intensify the meaning of our prayers and can also create vulnerability for us.
