On Saturday, we discussed God’s instruction to Avram (in his dream) to go out and count the stars if he is able and that his descendants will be as numerous as them. Why did God use this additional vision when God had already told Avram that his descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth? Was it to express the qualitative aspects of his descendants, to indicate that they would be righteous? Was it to guide him to stop practicing astrology? What do you think?
